PJD Power have secured an order to carry out repairs at
EPRL's plant at Thetford, which at 38.5MW, is the largest chicken litter
fuelled plant in the UK.
The boiler is a chain grate, spreader stoker boiler. PJD
have been tasked to carry out maintenance in the 2011 main outage to renew
boiler generator bank tubes and superheater tubes that have suffered material
loss.
In addition to this, Refcom Linings, part of the PJD
Group, will also be carrying out refractory repairs to the boiler grate and
internal division wall.
The overhaul starts on Tuesday October 18th and is
expected to last until November 2nd.
